These are four example images of tone, I chose these images because They show tone in a variety of different ways, for example the first image shows tones within the clouds, the second shows tone within a plant, the third also shows tone within the clouds however also within the wooden building and the final image shows tone within different skin tones. 

My definition

Tone is the different shades of colour within something, it is easily represented within black and white images.
